Mark,
I will be sharing this article with exhibitors at future events.
It is so important for exhibitors to follow through with a marketing plan that includes attention-getting display materials and a strong staff who actively see this as a great way to promote their product or service.
As an event planner, it is disappointing to see a business pay for exhibit space; pay a couple of people who then sit in their chairs chatting amongst themselves instead of being the dynamic catalyst to create excitement and interest in their business.
Thanks!

TO: Guillermo - I had the same issue with wampmanager.ini getting re-written to it's original state no matter my attempts to rectify the situation, e.g, restarting WAMP and my PC.

So, I renamed wampmanager.ini to wampmgr.ini and modified \wamp\scripts\config.inc.php to reflect the change. ( i.e., $wampserverIniFile = '../wampmgr.ini'; )

I did this because I wanted the WAMP tray menu to get updated [ I.E. a checkmark (Glyph: 13 in the ini) appear by the current version after switching versions. ] However, I noticed the tray menu was not getting updated even though the wampmgr.ini reflected the switch.

I changed back to wampmanager.ini and now everything works as expected. Yes, wampmanager.ini is re-written at startup but my changes aren't lost. Very strange but acceptable.

Becky - Excellent. Any idea if this works for MySQL also via the ZIP? I am sure the configuration you outlined will but not if WAMP will still work properly. Guess I will find out :)

Great post, Mac!

Absolute Marketing is micro among marketing agencies because it actually has a clue about that of which Dr. Brown Rutledge speaks--the essential need for message senders to identify with an audience.

Marketing agencies and their clients are addicted to the false notion that graphics, trinkets, template photos, and marketing materials in general convince an audience that the sender's product, idea, service, or mission is superior others the audience considers.

Instead, such agencies dismiss stories, and therefore common language and experiences, as the primary variable force in determining whether an a message actually captivates, wins, and sustains an audience.

Not until senders match their message via stories, metaphors, common language, and other identification schemes that stimulate the audience's emotions and harmonize with their values will an audience trust the sender enough to respond and act in the sender's favor.

Why? Because people across the board are skeptical of almost everything they perceive as an attempt to convince them. That's why so many marketing agencies, present company excluded, fail to actually win audiences for their clients.

Anything said can be refuted, but a person's own experiences, values, and aspirations cannot because a person identifies with the things inside their own minds best.

Thank you for a refreshing spot-on post. After reading my response, it could probably go on my own blog.
